Frequently Asked Questions

We do require a minimum of FOUR people in order for a flight. We can take up to EIGHT people on a flight due to weight restrictions for the Hot Air Balloon ride. Please contact us with any questions before booking your flight. We encourage you to reserve your spots on a flight in advance, as they do fill up quickly. We cannot cancel on any other guests to accommodate you unless they have cancelled their reservation. We will do our very best to accommodate your needs and will be as flexible as possible.

  • You will need to drive to the Canyonlands Field Airport 16 miles North of Moab. Once there you will be directed on where to park your vehicle and we will have a vehicle to take you to our launch location. Please ARRIVE 5-10 minutes early from the scheduled time to fill out paper work and get organized for your adventure with us.

  • If you weigh over 225 pounds please call when booking your flight, it will not prevent you from flying. We are restricted on how much gross weight the Balloon can lift and will plan accordingly. You will need to reserve an extra spot if over 225 pounds since it will limit another passenger from flying. You will be weighed prior to the flight so please be honest when giving your weight. If you are not and we are not able to accommodate you due to safety on that flight you will be asked to stay on the ground, it is very important to give your accurate weight when booking.

  • We understand that plans can change, but do to high demand we require you to cancel your reservation 72 hours in advance in order to get a full refund minus the booking fee. We require this so that we may get others looking to fly with us on board. If you fail to do this or do not show up for your flight you will not be refunded. There is a $25 cancellation fee if you cancel, due to transaction fees. If we cancel due to weather you will be refunded the full amount minus the $25 booking/cancellation fee per guest.

  • While it will not prevent you from flying, you are required to disclose any and all health factors. Recent surgeries or injuries need to be disclosed, so we can accommodate your needs. We ask you for your WEIGHT, because this is needed for weight and balance on the aircraft and is required.

  • The cost of $325 per person includes the flight, a shuttled vehicle to the launch site and from the landing site back to the airport. While gratuities are not expected the are appreciated. The Pilot and Crew members work very hard to make this experience happen.

  • You should wear close toed or hiking shoes for the flight, while not common there may be hiking involved. Dress appropriately for the season: warm clothes if cold and warm weather clothing for the summer.

  • You are more than welcome to bring your personal items with you, but you will need to leave them in the vehicles for the flight. This is so you don’t loose them and also for safety reasons during the flight.

  • We will provide water for you. You may bring your own food and water, but you will be expected to take any trash with you. Our vehicles and the desert ARE NOT trash cans.

  • We encourage you to bring your own camera to film or document your experience with us. Due to comfort and space you will need to leave your camera bag in the vehicle which will be at the landing location.
